This interactive application is created for visual exploration of land uplift and the consequent raised shorelines from 10000 years before past to the present day. Issues a user should be aware of and understand are
The used present day digital elevation models (DEM) contain surface forms, which did not exist when the land was submerged.
In some locations close to the present day shoreline appear triangular "islands". These exist due to quality issues of bathymetric (sea bottom) data and are visual artefacts in the modelling process.
Although the application allows for zooming and shows very detailed shorelines at exact points in time, the user should be aware of the inherent uncertainties in the model and visualization.
